Guided Implant Surgery

Replace missing teeth with CBCT guided implant surgery in Clarksburg, WV

Dental implants offer the best treatment for missing teeth, but it can be challenging to find this treatment without going to a big city. The dental team at All Smiles Dental offers dental implant surgery guided by CBCT imagery to ensure the best possible outcome for your smile.

Benefits of dental implants

Missing teeth are more than a cosmetic issue. Without a replacement, your remaining teeth will shift around, making them harder to clean and increasing your risk of decay and gum disease. It can also add strain to your jaw and lead to issues such as sleep apnea or TMJ. Eventually, your jawbone will begin to resorb, shrinking your face and thinning out your cheeks.

Dental implants are the only treatment for missing teeth that replace the entire structure of your tooth. They provide stimulation to your jawbone to prevent bone loss and allow you full functionality with your teeth. Dental implants can replace a single tooth or multiple teeth in combination with a crown, dental bridge, or complete dentures. With good hygiene and regular appointments, your dental implants can last a lifetime without replacement.

What to expect with dental implants

Dr. Suter has extensive training and experience in placing dental implants, and he can perform the procedure right here in our office.  Dr. Suter will evaluate your jaw and gum tissue using a cone beam CT scanner to plan your procedure. Some patients may require bone or gum grafts to support the dental implant.

Implants are typically placed a few weeks after tooth loss or extraction to give your gums time to heal. During the procedure, Dr. Suter will insert the implant, which looks like a screw, directly into your jaw through the gum. Over 4-6 months, the implant will heal with the jaw, and once it’s healed in place, he will create impressions to plan your restoration.

While the process takes longer than other tooth replacement options, implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. Implants are the most successful procedure in dentistry.  Implants are 95-98% successful.  With dental implants you never have to worry about tooth decay!
